Even though our guided tours don’t begin again until March 20, there are still countless opportunities to enjoy art in Providence during our off-season. Take a look at this selection of upcoming events hosted by our partner galleries -- you're more than welcome to check them out!!!

WaterFire Arts Center GRIT & POLISH, a group exhibition showcasing the work of The Steel Yard’s current resident artists. January 9 – February 9, 2025. Artist Talk on Thursday, January 16 at 6pm.

RI Center for Photographic Arts Join RI Photo on Thursday January 16, 5-8pm as they open their first exhibition for 2025. This year's "Director's Choice" exhibition presents a selection of work from their Managing Director exhibited in Cuba, along with work made in Cuba and work made closer to home. The show runs through February 18.

RISD Museum will be FREE on Sat, 1/18 and Sun, 1/19! Their Martin Luther King Jr. Weekend Celebration features hands-on workshops and fun gallery activities that celebrate MLK's legacy through art, culture, and conversation. ⁠More info on current exhibitions here.

The Chazan Gallery at Wheeler is pleased to present the show Fraudulent Applications of Projection featuring the work by Alex Wenstrup and Nathan Borradaile Wright, from January 30 – March 11, 2025. There will be an opening reception for the artist on January 30, from 5:00 – 7:00 pm.  All are welcome.

AS220 Main Gallery Alex Cullina | JAK 1-3. AS220 Youth alumni showcasing this month in the Main Gallery. Thurs-Fri 1-6pm, Sat 12-5 @ 115 Empire St.

The Bell presents "Julien Creuzet: Attila cataract your source at the feet of the green peaks will end up in the great sea blue abyss we drowned in the tidal tears of the moon". Opening February 20!

Bannister Gallery at RIC presents RaMell Ross: Spell, Time, Practice, American, Body with an Opening Reception on Thursday, February 20th, 4-6 PM. Through his large-format color photographs, Ross explores the meaning and mythology of the American South and of Black identity. The show runs until March 21, 2025.
